Driving License

Posted by Coldy at 1:48 AM 2 comments
Got my driving license a week ago.
Still can't quite believe that now I can drive a car.
Finally.
It took long enough for me to finally gathered all the courage, not over thinking it and just be done with it.

The result is sweet, a piece of card that basically says "Yes, you have the legal permit to drive a car now. Congratulations."

All I need to do now is gather all the courage one more time to drive it alone. With no one beside me. No one to accompany. No driving teacher, no sister.

This level of anxiety I have, is sad *facepalms*

Whyyyy.

Oh well, might just go around the neighbourhood first before hitting the fast lane.
And before that, I might have to stare at mirror first and hypnotist myself to be brave. *banging head on the wall*

On non-car related news, I'm still suffered from frustration-because-your-team-has-just-lost syndrome. Usually it doesn't take this long. I blame the hormones. Oh don't you just love to be a woman? Blame it all on hormones.
/end of sarcasm

But seriously, I need my Patronus pronto, because this situation is neither healthy for my mental stability, nor for the scale at home *coughcough* The Patronus charm has broken. Perhaps I need to have a good sight seeing to grow the mood back. Perhaps this sight seeing could involves a car. And driving. And alone.

I'm sexy blabbering and I know it.

Oh well, one could use a media to pour one's thought without restriction.

.......

Now let me get back to listening to Muse and drown in the magic that is their music and save the internet from my self.

I don't even know what to put on the title~

I actually like to be wide awake alone at night while everybody else is asleep. It gives the illusion of freedom being the only person in the world. The solitude is relaxing and mix with the stillness of the night, it feels magical.

But please, NOT every night! #insomnia.

Every single night being awake just making me a zombie in the process: stiff, dizzy, disconnected, and cranky with tendency to whack the brains out of people's heads. All with popped-out eyeballs. Not a pretty scene.

(Questionable) Suitable Careers Opportunity for Insomniac:

  1. Security
  2. Security
  3. Security
  4. Burglars
  5. Workaholic on a deadline
  6. Batman

Batman should have hired me to be his partner. I could be a great company for the long ride around Gotham city in bat-mobile at night. Robin could stay at home >;)

Movie is Like Chicken Soup for The Soul...

Posted by Coldy at 10:47 PM 3 comments
....unless when they are crappy.
Then, just like yesterday's chicken soup, it turns poisonous.

Besides reading, I have always loved good movies.
My love for reading came first as a child, then as the time went by and access to entertainment stuff has opened wider, movie became my second favorite imaginary world. It takes you to places you've never been, places you wouldn't ever wanna be, interesting characters, confusing situations, clever dialogues, stupid decisions, laughter, tears, frustrations, super power, everything in between.
It makes you think, it stimulates you.

To list all of my favorite movies is almost impossible and surely time consuming.
So here is the list* of my 20 favorite movies, some of which I'm craving to watch again right now, but sadly can't find them anywhere:
  1. The Goonies (The Goonieessssss!!!!!!!)
  2. Speed (Speeeeeddd!!! aksjfhksahdfkas)
  3. Strike!
  4. Die Hard With a Vengeance (What? This movie is no rubbish ok :8)
  5. The River Wild
  6. Phone Booth (akshfksalfhlks!!!! Brilliant concept of story line)
  7. Honey I Shrunk The Kids
  8. Casper
  9. The Lovely Bones (kahsdaskjghfa the movie that made me think and contemplate about life and which the after-taste still lingers for a long time even after the movie has long finished.)
  10. A Good Year
  11. Lord of The Rings (It is, by far, the greatest movies men ever made the entire time)
  12. Pirates of The Caribbean (I only give the highest star-rate for the first movie, the second and the third I don't know why but they made me fell asleep, literally.)
  13. Edward The Scissor Hand.
  14. Indiana Jones (Classic!)
  15. Bring It On!
  16. Before Sunrise
  17. X-Men. (No explanation is needed)
  18. The Client (Or known as The Movie Which The Late 11 year-old Brad Renfro Showed Off His Exceptionally Awesome Acting Skill)
  19. Ponyo (The Japanese animation film)
  20. And last but not least, Stand By Me.
I started the list with a movie about a group of friends having an adventure in finding treasures, so I think it's just right to end the list with a movie of a group of friends having an adventure in finding dead body. Yup, dead body.

I didn't include Harry Potter saga because well, lets admit it, as much as I love the books and thrilled seeing the story made into movies, some of the actors' acting skill is painful to watch. But we'll get to that another time.

*please check IMDB for more information on these movies.

The list above didn't do any justice.
There are still plenty of great movies that I didn't mention and it's because this entry tonight was meant to be simple and brief, not the kind where I talk about something thoroughly. I had not written in a long time and this served only as a practice for my stiff fingers, because writing is my 3rd-founded love.

While reading and watching get you into the magical world, writing allows you to create your own magic ;)

The Random Thoughts That Held Together by Words. Comprehensibility is Optional. You've Been Warned.

Years have gone by and I still haven't managed to overcome my mountain. That very mountain that I've climbed by walking and crawling for oh so long. Too tough, too huge, and seems endless. Though somehow I realize that the actual problem comes within. Too weak? Too naive? and seem helplessly perfectionist?

I feel not awesome.

And having Insomnia as your self-proclaimed best friend brings more damage than benefit. I hate you Insomnia. Why you love me?

I long for a life.

A life where team work is more popular than individualism competition. Where proclaiming yourself as an 'artist' within the family doesn't equal 'loser'. While proclaiming yourself as an 'artist' doesn't mean as an excuse for your lack of grasp on scientific matters. Or how bad you are with numbers.

Or does it?

Where parents don't say such daunting words that ironically meant as encouragement: If everybody else can do it, why not you?. No parents, not everybody can do what somebody can do. If not, everybody would have became a President. And everybody would have became rich. Real world doesn't work that way. Real world would chew you with no mercy and spit you. Real world would make you feel on top and then drop you until you hit the rock bottom. I've hit my rock bottom. Or what I'd like to think as my rock bottom. Because to have to go through something more devastating than that in the future is unimaginable. Although by seeing how the world works, it's not entirely impossible.

I don't understand how the world works.

Why people have to live? Why is it so hard to feel happy while you're surrounded by comforts? Why is it have to be so hard for one to see the other side of the planet one lives in? Will dreams become fulfilled one day? Or it will remain as dreams until the day we die? Why Peter Schmeichel has to grow old and thus stop playing for Manchester United? I love Peter Schmeichel. Why people have to be so harsh? Why people like to let one down and humiliate her in public, in front of her so called friends that have already underestimated her? Why people like to underestimate somebody? An unconscious act purely as an outcome of one's ego? Or a way to make one feels superior than the other? The world is a sad place sometimes.

Have you sensed any coherence yet?

Not my fault if thoughts in my mind run faster than my ability to type.

Happiness, you are now my obsession. You're like that rare creature that only occurs once in a blue moon. I'm not talking about that good feeling that you have when you can eat your fav food or that time when you bought that piece of necklace that you've been yearning for. That's happiness, but in a modest scale. I'm talking about this particular species of happiness that makes you feel good about yourself entirely, as a solid person. The one that will last longer than 5 minutes. The one that strong enough, bright enough, beautiful enough to makes you radiant with positive energy, that will spread to people near you.

Does such thing exist?

That's the beauty of mystery. The uncertainty.

Dear God The Almighty, this is my soliloquy.
A sinner who longs for your Mercy.
Because even if the world is merciless I know You're not.
Because even if I don't understand how the world works I know You understands me.
And that's all that matters.

That's all that matters...

FIN.

Oh Trans TV, you need to stop airing Van Helsing 7 times in a year since 2007 -_-

And stop adding pocong and the like in any given time, any given show. That's lame. And put you one step behind to be the coolest tv station.

Sincerely yours.
