Writer's Block

Posted by Coldy at 5:55 PM 0 comments
Turned on laptop, determined to finish the assignments.

4 hours later...

Amount of assigments finished: 0
Amount of football jokes meme saved: 83749234

Felt guilty and made an oath: will not surf the internet until I wrote something.

3 hours later...

Words is still a blank white sheet on screen.

Inspiration? Gone.
Determination? Zero.
Oath? Forgotten.
Deadline? Ticking.

And here I am.

Argh! Writer's block, I love you not ;_;

*shakes head*

Family reunion only works if you have nice relatives instead of the holier-than-thou ones. That keep saying things that sound like genuine concern but actually degrading in disguise and leave bad bruise on the soul.

Save your pity for yourself because I am not pitiful.

Your so-called "words of concern" only raise my anger and a huge "What The Heck?!"

Because genuine kindness can be FELT and will only raise kind emotions. So if your "kindness" raised negative emotions, there must be something wrong with it. Either it is fake, or sugar coated poison.

And the heart is the filter.

A Thought for Tonight

The older you get, the more you realize the lesser friends you have.
There are barriers that separate you,
they are called marriage, work, distance and death.

Cheesy old school music video preserves the fond memories of sweet adolescence.
Then I got mellow...

Prejudice

Posted by Coldy at 9:54 AM 3 comments
It is annoying how people judge me and tell me things for how I act these days.
News flash: people changed!
There a lot of things that have happened to me in these past years.

A lot of hardships that changed me forever, that they will never could FULLY understand unless they were me, unless they were in my shoes. Which is unlikely.

And vice versa.
I will never could fully understand other's situation.

So people will never really 'got' you because they are not you, until they experience it first hand. Or have huge empathy.

So stop judging.
Stop being mad for my harmless act that apparently annoys you.
If I shy away from social, it's just because how I am lately due to what have happened to me that you didn't know and I don't feel like sharing it.
Don't be demanding and please be more understanding.
Because your rage wont change me.
And if you knew what I've been through, you will feel guilty for your prejudice.

I Have a Dream

Posted by Coldy at 12:34 PM 0 comments
"In life we must dare to dream big."

That message has been resounded a lot lately around me.
Every time I turn on TV, watch movie, read books, the message are everywhere.

Heck, even in gossip show.
Not that I watch it often. *coughcough*
Umm...okay, sometimes.
....a lot of time? ^^;
(It's not like you can blame me, our channels have been bombarded with this kind of show. Bombarded, I tell ya)

But I know there are people who are afraid to dream big because they don't like the hard fall, the disappointment that may very well followed if the dream doesn't fulfilled.

But in this life so short, why don't do what we want to do?
Why don't dream the things we want to dream?
It's a pity if one doesn't dare to even just think about the now-seemed impossible. Your mind is yours, it's your absolute privacy and freedom, no one and no thing should discourage you from dreaming big.

Having your own crafting studio.
Write a novel.
Take pictures of the beautiful Ireland.
Skateboarding in Paris.
Learn Thai boxing.
Sell your painting.

Live your life to the fullest.

There's no harm in dreaming.
Don't be afraid of the disappointment.
Because actually the chance to achieve it is as long as your life.
What will be the problem is to have a constant motivation.
And if until the end of time one's dreams haven't been fulfilled yet, there will be no time for disappointment, because hey, one would has been dead anyway ;)

Edit: I would like to add "become one of the X-Men" to the list, but I know it's much of a stretch. But my mind, my liberty.

Well...Except when you have Prof. Xavier around you of course...

The Random Thoughts That Held Together by Words. Comprehensibility is Optional. You've Been Warned.

Posted by Coldy at 1:02 AM 1 comments
Years have gone by and I still haven't managed to overcome my mountain. That very mountain that I've climbed by walking and crawling for oh so long. Too tough, too huge, and seems endless. Though somehow I realize that the actual problem comes within. Too weak? Too naive? and seem helplessly perfectionist?

I feel not awesome.

And having Insomnia as your self-proclaimed best friend brings more damage than benefit. I hate you Insomnia. Why you love me?

I long for a life.

A life where team work is more popular than individualism competition. Where proclaiming yourself as an 'artist' within the family doesn't equal 'loser'. While proclaiming yourself as an 'artist' doesn't mean as an excuse for your lack of grasp on scientific matters. Or how bad you are with numbers.

Or does it?

Where parents don't say such daunting words that ironically meant as encouragement: If everybody else can do it, why not you?. No parents, not everybody can do what somebody can do. If not, everybody would have became a President. And everybody would have became rich. Real world doesn't work that way. Real world would chew you with no mercy and spit you. Real world would make you feel on top and then drop you until you hit the rock bottom. I've hit my rock bottom. Or what I'd like to think as my rock bottom. Because to have to go through something more devastating than that in the future is unimaginable. Although by seeing how the world works, it's not entirely impossible.

I don't understand how the world works.

Why people have to live? Why is it so hard to feel happy while you're surrounded by comforts? Why is it have to be so hard for one to see the other side of the planet one lives in? Will dreams become fulfilled one day? Or it will remain as dreams until the day we die? Why Peter Schmeichel has to grow old and thus stop playing for Manchester United? I love Peter Schmeichel. Why people have to be so harsh? Why people like to let one down and humiliate her in public, in front of her so called friends that have already underestimated her? Why people like to underestimate somebody? An unconscious act purely as an outcome of one's ego? Or a way to make one feels superior than the other? The world is a sad place sometimes.

Have you sensed any coherence yet?

Not my fault if thoughts in my mind run faster than my ability to type.

Happiness, you are now my obsession. You're like that rare creature that only occurs once in a blue moon. I'm not talking about that good feeling that you have when you can eat your fav food or that time when you bought that piece of necklace that you've been yearning for. That's happiness, but in a modest scale. I'm talking about this particular species of happiness that makes you feel good about yourself entirely, as a solid person. The one that will last longer than 5 minutes. The one that strong enough, bright enough, beautiful enough to makes you radiant with positive energy, that will spread to people near you.

Does such thing exist?

That's the beauty of mystery. The uncertainty.

Dear God The Almighty, this is my soliloquy.
A sinner who longs for your Mercy.
Because even if the world is merciless I know You're not.
Because even if I don't understand how the world works I know You understands me.
And that's all that matters.

That's all that matters...

FIN.

Sometimes happiness can be found in the smallest thing...

Posted by Coldy at 2:44 PM 0 comments
I love it when I walk alone along the street in the afternoon with headphone tuck in to my ears and blasting my favorite song, blocked all the sounds from the outer world, shut down my communication and interaction for awhile.

Just me and my music, enjoying the scenery and pondering about life.

The 'me-time'.

A precious 'me-time'.
